LED Conversion for HID Thru-Hull SeaLite®

San Diego, CA – 2/10/12 – In response to growing demand from customers, DeepSea Power & Light (DeepSea) has developed a powerful LED retro-fit insert for the popular 150W HID Thru-Hull SeaLite®. The success of the original 150W HID Thru-Hull SeaLite® established DeepSea as a leader in underwater lighting for boats. Now, thousands of boat owners can upgrade from HID technology to the latest in LED technology without changing the fitting in the boat hull thanks to the new Matrix® 150FS Thru-Hull SeaLite® Insert. Even customers with lights that are nearly 10 years old can enjoy the benefits of LED technology.
Installation is simply a matter of unscrewing the HID cartridge from the Thru-Hull SeaLite® fitting and replacing it with the new LED cartridge. The HID ballast is then swapped with the smaller LED driver. No haul out is necessary, so it couldn’t be easier to convert to LED technology for enhanced light output, half the current draw, instant on, color options, and no bulbs to service. The Matrix® 150FS Thru-Hull SeaLite® is also available as a standalone product for new installations where the customer wants the peace of mind of an internally serviceable LED lighting solution, making it a powerful new addition to the lineup of DeepSea products.
