X-Craft introduces new C-Force Helmsman suspension seat

X-Craft, a leading designer and builder of shock mitigation seating has introduced a new and unique Helmsman’s suspension seat for High Speed Craft and Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs).
Responding to requests from their customers who wanted a performance style bucket seat with a proven suspension system that was low to the deck, X-Craft came up with their new C-Force suspension seat.
The new C-Force seat, like most X-Craft seats can be upholstered with a wide variety of fabrics, colours and styles. Seats for open boats are upholstered with waterproof fabrics. All metalwork is constructed from 316 grade heavy duty stainless steel ensuring a corrosion free product.
Combining a customised Recaro “Pole Position” model shell and X-Crafts new 360 mm high X-System suspension mechanism, the new C-Force ticks all the boxes.
“We tested our new C-Force on a variety of high speed platforms and the C-Force provided great lateral support for the hips and the shoulders in high speed turns” said Sytse de Vlas, sales director at X-Craft. “Our new X-System provided the other half of the equation with its fully adjustable suspension that passengers can dial in for their own weight and sea conditions.”
The X-System is the mechanical part of the C-Force package and is newly evolved from X-Craft’s current design that is used in their standard range. The new X-System features a different geometry but uses the same saltwater resistant X-Craft shock absorber. Super strong and virtually maintenance free, it can be used with most existing seat frames and is available for sale as a separate unit. This is good news for boat builders who have already developed their own seats but are looking for a state of the art, rugged and reliable shock mitigation system to put underneath them.
X-Craft have supplied hundreds of seats to commercial and recreational users alike. EU legislation requires commercial users of high speed craft under 24m to install shock mitigation technology for their operators.
Recreational users are now seeing the health and comfort benefits of suspension seating as well as the added aesthetic appeal that X-Craft seating brings.

Navy - specifically developed for commercial and military purposes, at 21.5 kg it is a light and compact full featured adjustable suspension jockey seat at a very competitive price.
Carbon - constructed from high grade carbon fibre and titanium, this revolutionary suspension seat weighs in at an amazing 12.5 kg and is X-Craft’s most exclusive and sophisticated fully adjustable jockey seat.
Pilot - a comfortable shock mitigation helmsman seat combining the X-Craft suspension system with a Recaro bucket seat. Due to the higher seating position this seat is ideal for cabin RIBs and motor yachts. Also available with a slide mechanism. Custom seats are also available outside the standard range. Starting from a clean sheet of paper, X-Craft’s engineering and product experience is available to customer, whatever their needs.
