Scorpion RIBs are proud to highlight the great achievement that three of their Level One and Two apprentices have achieved during their 3 year City and Guilds Boat Building apprenticeships.

All three apprentices are dedicated members of the Scorpion team, spending four days a week in the factory, with one day spent at college. They are exposed to all areas of the business - learning how to laminate glass reinforced mouldings, manufacturing and fitting tubes, as well as installing electrical equipment, applying the finishing touches to the RIBs and research and development. They not only receive invaluable experience in a leading boatbuilding company, but will also gain the required qualifications towards becoming fully skilled boat builders.

Kevin Hunt, General Manager at Scorpion, was also trained through this scheme, successfully completing his City and Guilds Yacht and Boatbuilding course, so fully understands the importance and value of such a course for these young lads. He comments; “Employing apprentices here at Scorpion RIBs is absolutely crucial within our plans for expansion and future growth. We see that the investment in junior staff members will benefit our company for many years to come.”

Scorpion RIBs are proud to announce they will continue to offer the scheme to young aspiring individuals.
